Multi-Mask Respirator and Ear Plug Fit Test
Fit test two masks and one pair of earplugs or earmuffs in a single assessment. This bundle is designed to ensure that your employees have effective backup PPE and simplifies your compliance process with proper documentation.
New Australian standards have made fit testing mandatory for respiratory protection equipment (AS/NZS 1715:2009) and hearing protection (AS/NZ 1269.3:2005). Precise and well documented testing is now pivotal in maintaining your safety records and compliance, as well as the safety of your employees.
We understand that because of supply issues, workload changes and other uncontrollable factors, employees are often needed to wear a different type of PPE. Our multi-mask and earplug fit testing bundle ensures that an employee is properly fitted to 2 types of respirator protection and one type of hearing protection. This means that their safety is never compromised in the event of a supply shortage or change of task.
In a two part assessment, ENVSS offers fit testing for both face masks and earplugs or earmuffs. Both tests employ quantitative methods, meaning that results are objective and not based on the responses of employees.
Mask fit testing measures leakage of contaminants into the wearer’s breathing area. Hearing protection assessments assign a Personal Attenuation Rating to each piece of equipment by conducting tests at seven standard frequencies. In addition to assessing the actual equipment, our tests also provide you with:- Proper Equipment Use Training: We instruct personnel in how to properly wear, adjust and maintain their equipment to maximise protection over the longest possible period of time. This helps instil safety values amongst employees and gives them control over their own safety.
- Comprehensive Reporting: After testing, we provide detailed reports that document the fit factor and the overall effectiveness of your respirator and earplugs or earmuffs, keeping you in compliance with safety standards.
ENVSS conducts testing in our dedicated facility at 10 Bermondsey Street, West Leederville. We also offer a fully equipped mobile service that can carry out testing on your site, reducing disturbances to your business.
It is required that attending personnel be clean shaven and refrain from smoking for at least 30 minutes prior to testing. Please note that there are no shaving facilities on site.
Arranging a mask and hearing protection fit test with ENVSS will streamline your safety compliance and record keeping. Bookings can be made either with an existing account or with a prepaid booking.

Some wearers may experience these levels of protection and others may not. Fit testing with ENVSS provides a precise understanding of how a piece of equipment actually protects its user.
