NOISE MODELLING

Environmental noise assessments and management plans may require the contractor to predict noise levels based on proposed activity, the duration and timing of works. This is generally a requirement of the local council if the proposed works are in an area near sensitive receptors, works are out-of-hours or both and will need to comply with Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997. The modelling of noise takes into consideration the project, its equipment, noise sensitive receivers, noise walls, positioning of equipment and timing of works. The model predicts the likely dB at the receiver which helps identify potential impacts and appropriate management actions.

Environmental Site Services will deliver a noise model and management plan for your project and help obtain council approval as required.
