2011 - Environmental Site Services Inception
- Founded by John Breed, specialising in Hazardous Materials Management.
- Began operations with a focus on identifying, assessing, and managing hazardous materials, helping clients meet safety and compliance requirements.
2012 - Expanded to offer Remote Environmental Monitoring Services
Extended service offerings to include environmental monitoring, ensuring that clients adhere to regulatory standards through the continuous assessment of noise, vibration, air, water, and soil quality. Established ENVSS as a comprehensive provider of environmental assessments.
2013 - Occupational Hygiene Services Added
Environmental Site Services introduced occupational hygiene services, helping clients identify and control workplace hazards, including chemical, physical, and biological risks. This expansion marked the company's commitment to supporting both environmental and workplace health and safety.
2014 - Relocated to larger premises
Moved to a larger facility with dedicated workshop facilities in Osborne Park, Western Australia, to accommodate the growing team and service demand. The new space allowed for enhanced project support, including equipment maintenance and testing.
2015 - Continued growth and product development
Established new client partnerships and further developed internal processes to handle larger, more complex projects. Continued growth in occupational hygiene and environmental monitoring services. Design of the ENVSS Remote Data Logger first prototypes
2016 - Acquisition, refurbishment and move to Burswood
Acquired and outfitted a larger premises in Burswood, Western Australia. The new location featured expanded office space and workshop facilities, further enhancing operational capabilities. First of the ENVSS Remote Data Loggers of the production line
Product development and manufacturing ramped up
ENVSS Remote Data Loggers deployed across the Environmental Site Services fleet of remote monitoring stations
2018 - Expansion of Burswood Site
Acquired neighbouring properties to expand the carpark and workshop facilities, enabling the accommodation of more staff, vehicles, and equipment. The expansion supported ENVSS’s growing number of large-scale projects.
2022 - New Perth Headquarters Acquired
Acquired and fitted out a new, larger location in West Leederville to complement the Burswood yard and workshop facilities. This new site improved logistics and operational efficiency, enabling ENVSS to better serve its expanding client base.
2023 - New Perth Headquarters Fit-out
Moved into our New Perth Headquarters in April 2023

Formation of Monitel - 2023
- Launched Monitel, a sister company offering Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring Instrumentation Services.
- Monitel provides state-of-the-art solutions for geotechnical monitoring, helping clients with early detection of structural shifts and ground movements.
